Orchid Island Capital january dividend

VERO BEACH, Fla., Jan. 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orchid Island Capital, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE:ORC) announced today that the Board of Directors declared a monthly cash dividend for the month of January 2016. The dividend of $0.14 per share will be paid January 29, 2016, to holders of record on January 26, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of January 22, 2016.

The Company intends to make regular monthly cash distributions to its stockholders. In order to qualify as a real estate investment trust ("REIT"), the Company must distribute annually to its stockholders an amount at least equal to 90% of its REIT taxable income, determined without regard to the deduction for dividends paid and excluding any net capital gain. The Company will be subject to income tax on taxable income that is not distributed and to an excise tax to the extent that certain percentages of its taxable income is not distributed by specified dates. The Company has not established a minimum distribution payment level and is not assured of its ability to make distributions to stockholders in the future.

Added 75 shares of Technopolis (TPS1V) at 3.65€ per share. This brings down my average purchase price to 4.04€ per share. I now hold 495 shares of Technopolis.

Goals 2015

Ok, lets look back at the goals that I set for 2015. How did it go.

Monthly goal was set at 40€ in dividends per month. Only January and February was not reached, other months passed the goal line (July was quite tights but over the line anyway). So 10 out of 12 was passed, OK result.

Quarterly goal was set at 150€ per quarter. And only first quarter goal was missed by a little bit. Others passed clearly. So 3 out of 4 was passed, OK result

Full year target was 600€ in dividends. And when looking at month by month followup graph, we can see that I was on track right after march. Full year goal was clearly passed and that was an excellent result.

New purchase : AT & T

Added 23 shares of AT&T (NYSE:T) at price 34.07 USD per share. I now hold 44 shares of AT&T. This increases my 12 month forward dividends by 44 USD.

AT&T pays dividends with 2-5-8-11 schedule. This purchase raises my average price to 33.86 USD per share and my yield on cost is 5.67%
