Dividend increase #4 of 2023 : Stora Enso Oyj

Stora Enso Oyj board proposes dividend of 0.60€ per share from year 2022. This is the highest dividend ever from Stora Enso and a nice 9.1% increase over the dividend from previous year. Very nice.

Dividend cut #3 of 2023 : Telia Company

Telia board proposes dividend of 2.00 SEK for year 2022. The dividend from previous year was 2.05 SEK so this a small decrease. One more disappointment from this company.


 


Dividend increase #3 of 2023 : Nokia Oyj

Nokia reported Q4 results and board proposal for dividend from 2022 is 0.12 eur per share. Dividend from previous year was 0.08 eur so this is a nice increase. Nokia reinstated dividend last year, so only 3 quarterly payments were made last year.

Dividend cut #2 of 2023 : Algonquin Power & Utilities Co

Algonquin Power & Utilities Company (TSE:AQN) announced a dividend cut. Effective for its first quarter 2023 dividend (expected to be payable in April 2023), AQN intends to lower its quarterly dividend from $0.1808 to $0.1085 per common share, improving financial flexibility. AQN will continue distributions to shareholders with a sustainable dividend that is expected to grow in general alignment with Adjusted Net Earnings per share.

Started new position in portfolio by purchasing 5 shares of Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE:LOW) at $210.81 per share. Lowe's Companies Inc. pays dividend on 2-6-8-11 schedule and yield is low at 2.00% but recent annual increases have been quite nice.

Gladstone Investment Corporation to pay supplemental dividend in March

Gladstone Investment Corporation (Nasdaq:GAIN) announced today that its board of directors declared the following monthly cash distributions to common stockholders. The Company also announced its plan to report earnings for its third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2022.

The Company will also pay a supplemental distribution of $0.24 per share to holders of its common stock in March 2023. The board of directors will continue to evaluate the amount and timing of any additional, semi-annual or incremental, supplemental distributions in future periods.

Common Stock: $0.08 per share of common stock for each of January, February, and March 2023, and a supplemental distribution of $0.24 per share of common stock in March 2023, all payable per the table below.

Dividend cut #1 of 2023 : Gladstone Commercial Corporation

Gladstone Commercial Corporation  board of directors has taken what it believes is the prudent path and reduced the run rate on its monthly dividend (from $0.1254 to $0.10). In addition, and in support of the capital preservation effort, the Company's investment adviser has agreed to amend the current Advisory Agreement to waive the applicable incentive fee for the quarters ending March 31, 2023 and June 30, 2023. Buzz Cooper, the Company's President, stated, "We believe that the dividend cut, along with the temporary incentive fee waiver, will help the Company to maintain a strong balance sheet in 2023."

Dividend increase #1 of 2023 : Vermilion Energy Inc.

Vermilion Energy Inc. (TSE:VET) announces a 25% increase to Q1 2023 quarterly cash dividend to $0.10 CDN per share, which equates to an annual dividend of $0.40 CDN per share, approximately 5% of forecasted 2023 FFO. This increase aligns with VET dividend policy of providing ratable increases while ensuring the annual dividend amount is sustainable at mid-cycle pricing.
