The Board of Fortis Inc (TSE:FTS) declares dividend increase. The common share dividend declared of $0.615 per share represents an approximate 4.2% increase in the quarterly dividend, marking 51 consecutive years of increased dividends. 

Fortis expects its long-term growth in rate base will drive earnings that support annual dividend growth. The Corporation’s annual dividend growth guidance of 4-6% has been extended one year through 2029

Dividend increase #37 of 2024 : Emera Inc.

Emera Inc. (TSX: EMA) today announced that its Board of Directors approved a 1% increase in the 

annual common share dividend, raising it to $2.90 from $2.87 per common share. This marks the 18 th consecutive year of dividend growth, underscoring Emera’s commitment to delivering value to its shareholders.

Chimera Investment (NYSE:CIM) declares $0.37/share quarterly dividend, 5.7% increase from prior dividend of $0.35. Payable Oct. 31 for shareholders of record Sept. 30, ex-div Sept. 30.

Dividend increase #35 of 2024 : W.P. Carey Inc.

W. P. Carey Inc. (W. P. Carey, NYSE: WPC) reported today that its Board of Directors increased its quarterly cash dividend to $0.875 per share, equivalent to an annualized dividend rate of $3.50 per share. The dividend is payable on October 15, 2024 to stockholders of record as of September 30, 2024.

Gladstone Investment Corporation to pay supplemental dividend in October

Gladstone Investment Corporation (Nasdaq:GAIN)announced today that its board of directors declared the following additional supplemental cash distribution to common stockholders in October 2024.

Common Stock: A supplemental distribution of $0.70 per share of common stock in October 2024 payable October 14th, ex-date October 4th

Realty Income Corporation (Realty Income, NYSE: O), The Monthly Dividend Company®, today announced it has declared an increase in the company's common stock monthly cash dividend to $0.2635 per share from $0.2630 per share. The dividend is payable on October 15, 2024, to stockholders of record as of October 1, 2024. 

This is the 127th dividend increase since Realty Income's listing on the NYSE in 1994. The new monthly dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $3.162 per share as compared to the prior annualized dividend amount of $3.156 per share.

The Board of Directors at Verizon Communications Inc.
