Dividend increase #28 of 2022 : Royal Bank of Canada

The board of Royal Bank of Canada (TSE:RY) has announced that it will be increasing its dividend on the 24th of August to CA$1.28. Based on the announced payment, the dividend yield for the company will be 3.6%, which is fairly typical for the industry.

 

Dividend increase #27 of 2022 : Bank of Nova Scotia

Scotiabank today announced a CA$ 1.03 per share dividend on the outstanding shares of the Bank, payable July 27, 2022 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 5, 2022. This is a 3% increase over the previous quarter dividend.

Dividend increase #26 of 2022 : Algonquin Power & Utilities Corporation

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (TSX: AQN) announced today that its board of directors has approved and declared the following common dividend in Canadian dollars in the amount of C$0.2345 or in US dollars US$0.1808 per common share. Payable on July 15, 2022, to the shareholders of record on June 30, 2022, for the period from April 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022. This is a 6% increase over the dividend for the previous quarter.

Dividend increase #25 of 2022 : SFL Corporation

The Board of Directors of SFL Corporation (NSQ:SFL) has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.22 per share. The dividend will be paid on or around June 29, to shareholders on record as of June 15, and the ex-dividend date on the New York Stock Exchange will be June 14, 2022.

This is a $0.02 increase over the previous quarter dividend and a second increase this year. Very nice.

Started new position in portfolio by purchasing 3 shares of Amgen Inc. (NSQ:AMGN). 

Amgen Inc. is a biotechnology company. The Company discovers, develops, manufactures and delivers various human therapeutics. It operates in human therapeutics segment. Its marketed products portfolio includes Neulasta (pegfilgrastim); erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs), such as Aranesp (darbepoetin alfa) and EPOGEN (epoetin alfa); Sensipar/Mimpara (cinacalcet); XGEVA (denosumab); Prolia (denosumab); NEUPOGEN (filgrastim), and other marketed products, such as KYPROLIS (carfilzomib), Vectibix (panitumumab), Nplate (romiplostim), Repatha (evolocumab), BLINCYTO (blinatumomab), IMLYGIC (talimogene laherparepvec) and Corlanor (ivabradine). It focuses on human therapeutics for the treatment of serious illness in the areas of oncology/hematology, cardiovascular disease and neuroscience. Its product candidates in Phase III include Erenumab for episodic migraine, Aranesp for myelodysplastic syndromes, BLINCYTO for acute lymphoblastic leukemia and IMLYGIC for metastatic melanoma.

Dividend increase #24 of 2022 : Telus Corporation

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Telus Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.3386 Canadian per share on the issued and outstanding Common shares payable on July 4, 2022 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 10, 2022.

Main Street Capital declares supplemental dividend for June

The Board of Directors of Main Street Capital Corp (NYSE:MAIN) declared a supplemental cash dividend of $0.075 per share payable in June 2022. This supplemental cash dividend, which will be payable as set forth in the table below, will be paid out of Main Street's undistributed taxable income (taxable income in excess of dividends paid) as of March 31, 2022. 

Including all dividends declared to date, including the third quarter 2022 regular monthly dividend and the second quarter 2022 supplemental dividend, Main Street will have paid $34.26 per share in cumulative cash dividends since its October 2007 initial public offering at $15.00 per share.
