New Residential Investment Corp. decreases dividend

New Residential Investment Corp. (NRZ) board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per common share for the first quarter 2020. The dividend is payable on May 15, 2020 to common shareholders of record on April 15, 2020.

This is quite a dramatic dividend reduction from $0.50 per share to $0.05 per share. Corona Virus if affecting their business quite a lot. Lets hope situation improves soon.

Huhtamaki postpones dividend due to Corona Virus situation

The Board of Directors changes its proposal for use of the profit shown on the balance sheet and proposes that no dividend payment would be decided by the Annual General Meeting. Instead, the Board of Directors proposes to the Annual General Meeting that the Annual General Meeting would authorize the Board of Directors to decide at a later stage and in its discretion on a dividend payment in one or several installments of a total maximum of EUR 0.89 per share. The authorization would be valid until the next Annual General Meeting, however, no longer than until June 30, 2021. The Company will publish the possible decisions on dividend payment separately, and simultaneously confirm the dividend record and payment dates.

Telia to cut dividend due to Corona virus affecting business

Telia decreases dividend to 1.80 SEK per share instead of the planned 2.45 SEK per share due to Corona Virus situation affecting advertising in television sports events, i.e. no sport events, no advertising. This is understandable reduction. Telia informed that if situation changes, a additional board meeting can be arranged to discuss extra dividend.

New purchase : National Health Investors

Added 10 shares of National Health Investors (NYSE:NHI) at $46.72 per share. I now hold 24 shares of NHI. This purchase brings down my average cost to $66.72 per share as NHI has come down in value a lot due to Corona Virus situation.

New purchase : Sanoma Oyj

Added 25 shares of Sanoma Oyj at 7.515€ per share. I now hold 50 shares of Sanoma Oyj. This purchase lowers my average price to 9.20€ per share.

Chatham Lodging Trust temporary suspends dividend due to Corona Virus situation

Chatham Lodging Trust (NYSE: CLDT), a lodging real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests in upscale, extended-stay hotels and premium-branded, select-service hotels and owns 134 hotels wholly or through joint ventures, today announced that it has suspended its monthly dividend and will not declare a March dividend which would have been paid in April.

"Facing unprecedented operating conditions in the travel industry and little visibility, we believe it is most prudent to suspend our monthly dividend as a means of preserving shareholder value," commented Jeffrey H. Fisher, Chatham’s president and chief executive officer. "We are hopeful that the effects from COVID-19 will prove to be short-term and people will have the confidence to resume travel sooner rather than later. Our teams at Chatham and Island Hospitality have the experience to persevere through these situations, and we are thankful to have this platform that enables us to move aggressively and quickly. We are working vigorously to maximize revenue, and we are aggressively cutting operating costs and deferring all non-essential capital expenditures to minimize the adverse effects on cash flow."

Realty Income increases dividend

Realty Income Corporation (Realty Income, NYSE: O), The Monthly Dividend Company^®, today announced its Board of Directors has declared an increase in the company's common stock monthly cash dividend to $0.233 per share from $0.2325 per share. The dividend is payable on April 15, 2020 to shareholders of record as of April 1, 2020. This is the 106^th dividend increase since Realty Income's listing on the NYSE in 1994. The ex-dividend date for April's dividend is March 31, 2020. The new monthly dividend represents an annualized dividend amount of $2.796 per share as compared to the current annualized dividend amount of $2.79 per share.

Vermilion does another dividend cut

Due to drastic decline in global economics due to Corona virus and oil prices, Vermilion board of directors have approved a reduction in monthly dividend from $0.115 CDN per share to 0.02 CDN per share. The new dividend amount will bne implemented in the April dividend which is payable in May 2020.

W.P. Carey Inc. increases dividend

NEW YORK, March 12, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- W. P. Carey Inc. (NYSE: WPC) reported today that its Board of Directors increased its quarterly cash dividend to $1.04 per share, equivalent to an annualized dividend rate of $4.16 per share. The dividend is payable on April 15, 2020 to stockholders of record as of March 31, 2020.

Vermilion decreases dividend

Vermilion's board of directors has approved a 50% reduction in our monthly dividend to $0.115 per share in response to weakness in commodity prices and reduced global economic prospects following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The revised dividend will be effective for the March dividend payable on April 15, 2020.

Well, hard to say that this wasn't expected. Yield had climbed very high and all the information directed to this cut.

Sievi Capital increases dividend

Sievi Capital increases dividend to 0.04€ per share. Last year Sievi Capital paid 0.03€ per share dividend. Increase is 33.3%. It would have been nice to own more shares, but since I own only 150 shares, this change will not affect much on my 12 month forward dividends.
