Dividend increase #32 of 2024 : Altria Group Inc.

Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE: MO) today announced that our Board of Directors voted to increase our regular quarterly dividend by 4.1% to $1.02 per share versus the previous rate of $0.98 per share. The quarterly dividend is payable on October 10, 2024 to shareholders of record as of September 16, 2024. The ex-dividend date is September 16, 2024.

The new annualized dividend rate is $4.08 per share, representing a dividend yield of 7.9% based on our closing stock price of $51.81 on August 21, 2024.

Added 20 shares of Main Street Capital Corporation (NYSE:MAIN) at $49.31 per share. I now hold 116 shares of Main Street Capital Corporation.

Dividend cut #6 of 2024 : Algonquin Power & Utilities

Algonquin Power & Utilities (TSE:AQN) declares $0.065/share quarterly dividend, -40.1% decrease from prior dividend of $0.1085. Forward yield 4.2% and payable Oct. 15 for shareholders of record Sept. 30. ex-div date is Sept. 30.

AQN cut dividend last year and now again. Seems like problems are not over for this company. I have a small position and this cut does not affect much on my 12 month forward dividends. Lets monitor situation.

Main Street Capital to pay supplemental dividend in September

Main Street Capital Board of Directors declared a supplemental cash dividend of $0.30 per share payable in September 2024. This supplemental cash dividend will be paid out of Main Street's undistributed taxable income (taxable income in excess of dividends paid) as of June 30, 2024.

On August 1, 2024, Iron Mountain's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.715 per share for the third quarter, representing an increase of 10%

Since I own 99 shares of IRM, this change will increase my 12 month forward dividends by $25.74. Very nice.
