Recent sale : Technopolis

Kildare Partners launched a bid to buy Technopolis for 4.65€ per share. This was a good premium to my average purchase price 3.92€ so I decided it was a good time to step out of this company. I sold all my shares in Technopolis for 4.65€ per share.

My profit from Technopolis sale was 821.98€ when including sales from Offerings couple of years back. And in addition to that, Technopolis has paid 391.35€ dividends to me.

Total profit: 1213.33€  (49.5% profit to invested amount, excellent)

 

Prospect Capital dividends for September and October

Prospect is declaring distributions as follows:

• $0.06 per share for September 2018 to September 28, 2018 record holders with October 18, 2018 payment date; and
• $0.06 per share for October 2018 to October 31, 2018 record holders with November 21, 2018 payment date.

These distributions mark Prospect’s 122^nd and 123^rd consecutive cash distributions to shareholders.

Based on the declarations above, Prospect’s closing stock price of $7.18 at August 27, 2018 delivers to shareholders a dividend yield of 10.0%.

Bank of Nova Scotia increases dividend

Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) declares C$0.85/share quarterly dividend, 3.7% increase from prior dividend of C$0.82. Forward yield 5.62% Payable Oct. 29; for shareholders of record Oct. 2; ex-div Oct. 1.

Since I own 29 shares of BNS, this increase will add $3.48 CAD to my 12 month annual dividends

Royal Bank of Canada increases dividend

Royal Bank of Canada (RY) announced today that its board of directors have declared an increase to its quarterly common share dividend of four cents to 98 cents per share.

Since I own 16 shares of RY this change will increase my 12 month forward dividends by $2.56 CAD

New purchase : EPR Properties

Added 5 shares of EPR Properties (NYSE:EPR) at $69.88 per share. I now hold 25 shares of EPR Properies. Building up this position slowly but steadily.

New purchase : Realty Income Corp

Added 10 shares of Realty Income Corp (NYSE:O) at $58.65 per share. I now hold 38 shares of Realty Income Corp. Realty has been a reliable dividend payer with constant increases. Easy decision to keep building this position

Recent sale : Orchid Island Capital Inc.

Sold all my share of Orchid Island Capital Inc (ORC). Three dividend decreases in the same year is enough.

New purchase: Telia Company

Added 25 shares of Telia Company (TELIA) at 4.055 per share. I now hold 465 shares of Telia Company

Awilco Drilling dividend suspended

The companys dividend policy has been to pay a quarterly dividend in support of its main objective to maximize returns to shareholders. All of the Companys free cash flow was distributed subject to maintaining a robust cash buffer to support working capital requirements, planned capital expenditure and uncertain future market prospects

• Since June 2013 Awilco Drilling has consistently paid a quarterly dividend and during this time has distributed USD 12.00 (NOK 83.22) per share in this respect. 
• With the ordering of one new - build high - end semi submersible rig in March this year, plus an agreement for a further three independent rig options, the Company is now in a growth and investment phase. 
•  The Board of Directors has, therefore, decided to suspend the dividend and will resume same when the Company again reaches an appropriate free cash flow situation. 

This suspension affects my 12 month forward dividends by approx -70€, luckily Awilco Drilling is not a big position in my portfolio. I will monitor how situation evolves, maybe it is time to get rid of Awilco shares.

Orchid Island dividend for August

VERO BEACH, Fla., Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orchid Island Capital, Inc. (the "Company") (NYSE:ORC) announced today that the Board of Directors (the "Board") declared a monthly cash dividend for the month of August 2018. The dividend of $0.08 per share will be paid September 10, 2018, to holders of record on August 31, 2018, with an ex-dividend date of August 30, 2018.  The Company plans on announcing its next dividend after the Board's meeting on September 17, 2018

This is a third decrease in dividend this year, very bad :(

New purchase : Oasis Midstream Partners LP

New position started in portfolio. Purchased 45 shares of Oasis Midstream Partners LP at 23.45 per share. Oasis pays dividend with 2-5-8-11 schedule and is targeting 20% annual growth in dividends. Oasis is a quite new partnership and has so far performed well, so I decided to jump in and take a look how it proceeds.

Oasis just recently declares $0.41/share quarterly dividend, 3.7% increase from prior dividend of $0.3952. Forward yield 7.56% Payable Aug. 29; for shareholders of record Aug. 16; ex-div Aug. 15.
